Who is Mr V?

Mr Van Valkenburg is a fully qualified secondary Mathematics teacher with over 20 years of international teaching experience in universities and high schools around the world. 

​

He believes that all students can succeed in mathematics, but he also knows that students sometimes struggle to achieve this success, and when this happens they need a helping hand.  

​

His approach is simple:

 

Step 1: Try to determine why the student is struggling. Sometimes this can be as simple as a misunderstood basic maths concept from years ago... and sometimes is it a combination of many factors. Once he diagnoses why a student is struggling, then Mr V and the student can get to work on the solution.

​

Step 2: Help enable the student to succeed. Once the problems have been identified, Mr V will design and deliver a custom-made tuition program to specifically address the student's weaknesses. Without these weaknesses, the student is free to reach their maximum potential.
